Was met by a man with a knife in his own apartment
Trøndelag Police felt compelled to attend an address in central Trondheim after reports of knife threats on Friday afternoon.
– When the owner of the apartment returned home, the thief came out of his apartment. The attacker threatened the victim with a knife as he walked past the victim, police wrote on Twitter.
In charge of operations in the police, Wenche Johnsen confirms to TV 2 that the police are now looking for the author.
The victim had just returned from work when she discovered that someone had broken into the apartment. As he was about to enter, the person in question came out and the man noticed that the assailant had something in his hand, Johnsen explains.
When asked what the person was doing in the apartment, the attacker pulled out a knife and pointed it at the owner of the apartment.
– He called the police and we are now looking for the attacker and have received a description, says Johnsen, who adds that there should be no relationship between the two.
– Is there a danger for others in the city center?
– No, this is not the case. He was caught in the act and reacted to the victim, so we don’t see that as a danger to anyone in central Trondheim.
The first report reached the police at 5:03 p.m.
