WC in Heerenveen: ninth place in Czyszczoń at 5000 meters

In the 5,000m, reigning Dutch champion Irene Schouten proved to be the best, breaking the track record in style – with a score of 6:41.25. Silver was won by Norway’s Ragne Wiklund (4.90 behind), and bronze by Czech legend Martina Sablikova – 6.53 behind Schouten.

Czyszczoń rode like the first of the whole group, alone on the track. She clocked a worse time than the winner in 34.42.

Over the 1500m distance, Bosiek took 14th place, 5.47s behind the winner, who turned out to be Dutchman Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong.

Silver – as in the 5000m – was won by Norwegian Wiklund (0.76 behind), and bronze by Japanese Miho Takagi (0.85 behind the Dutchman).

The Poles did not participate in the men’s competitions on the last day.

American Jordan Stolz won the 1500m – 1:43.59, while Italian Davide Ghiotto – 12:41.35 proved to be the best in the 10,000m.
