The Volleyball Nations League competition has started. The Polish national team defended the title won last year. Where to watch VNL 2024 matches? What time will volleyball broadcasts be available? Two tournaments will be played during the first week of the Volleyball Nations League. The first took place in Antalya, Turkey, where the Polish national team was among the participants. The second – in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Eight teams will play in each of them.
Group 1. (Antalya, Turkey): Poland, United States, France, Canada, Slovenia, Turkey, Netherlands, Bulgaria
Group 2. (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil): Italy, Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Serbia, Germany, Iran, Cuba.
The group stage competition will take place from May 21 to June 23, during which time each of the 16 teams will participate in three tournaments during which they will play twelve matches. There will be a total of six tournaments in which 96 matches will be played. The final phase will be organized from June 27 to 30 in Łódź. The seven leading teams of the intercontinental phase will play there, with Poland as host.
The Volleyball Nations League was organized for the first time in 2018, replacing the World League organized from 1990 to 2017. The previous edition was won by the Polish national team, who defeated the United States in the final at Gdańsk.
Broadcasts of Volleyball Nations League 2024 matches will be available on Polsat sports channels and Polsat Box Go, and matches of the Polish national team will also be available on TV4. Here is the detailed broadcast schedule for the first week (full information here).
