After the first week of competition in the Women’s Volleyball Nations League, the first place in the standings is occupied by the Polish national team (matches 4-0, 11 points). Coach Stefano Lavarini’s charges at the tournament in Antalya beat: Canada 3:2, Italy 3:1, Thailand 3:0 and Serbia 3:0. China (4-0, 11) and USA (4-0, 9) also finished the first game of the main stage unbeaten.
Two tournaments will be played in the second week. The first in Hong Kong, where the Polish team was among the participants, the second in Brasilia.
group 3 (Hong Kong): Bulgaria – China – Dominican Republic – Netherlands – Canada – Poland – Turkey – Italy.
group 4 (Brasilia): Brazil – Croatia – Japan – South Korea – Germany – Serbia – Thailand – USA.
The intercontinental phase of the Volleyball Nations League will last until July 2. The final tournament will take place in Arlington, USA (July 12-16).
