The Polish national team struggled in Friday’s clash with Canada in the third match of the Women’s World Cup stage, but won after a tie-break. Biało-Czerwone are now in a good position to qualify for the quarter-finals. See the place in the table of our volleyball players.
On Tuesday, the Polish volleyball players started the second phase of the Women’s World Cup 2022. Our players first lost to Serbia 0:3 and then sensationally beat the USA 3:0.
After a day’s rest, the Poles resumed competition in Łódź. Their next rival was the Canadian team. Biało-Czerwone were favorites for this encounter and beat their rivals after a tie-break.
Currently, the leader of the group is Serbia, which is the only team not to lose in this tournament. Behind them are now the United States, Turkey and Poland. The Canadians and the Dominicans are still in the game for the quarter-finals.
The next match will be played by Stefano Lavarini’s proteges on Saturday. Their last opponent in this phase of the tournament will be Germany. This shock can give the accession of the Whites-Reds to the quarter-finals.
