1. Alessandra: “Queen of Kings”

Alessandra Mele had the honor of debuting the Melodi Grand Prix show. She is a Norwegian-Italian artist and composer. The 20-year-old has lived most of her life in Italy, but after high school she decided to move to Norway.

2. Eirik Næss: “Wave”

Eirik Næss is an artist and songwriter from Larvik. After high school he moved to London, where he lived for seven years, and spent much of that time on music. He has since returned to Oslo and played in several bands.

3. Rasmus Thall: “TRESKO”

Rasmus Thallaug is a songwriter, producer and artist from Tønsberg. In MGP last year, he was part producer, co-songwriter and pianist when his girlfriend Faridas entered the competition with the song “Dangerous”. Rasmus is the grandson of the famous artist Anita Thallaug, who participated in the MGP several times in the 60s.

4. Kate Gulbrandsen: “Tears in Heaven”

Many probably remember Kate Gulbrandsen with the iconic high braid when she won the MGP in 1987 with the song “Mitt liv.” Subsequently, she was on stage both at home and abroad – in addition to being on the television screen through “Beat på Beat”, “Stjernekamp” and “Allsang på grensen”.

5. Tsunami Umami: “Geronimo”

Umami Tsunami is a collective project made up of songwriters, artists, producers and people who work with design and visual expression. This time they brought feature films Kyle Alessandro (16), Kristian Haux (20) and Magnus Winjum (17) from Lillestrøm.

6. Ulrikke Brandstorp: “Honestly”

Ulrikke Brandstorp really rose to fame with Norwegian audiences when she won the MGP in 2020 with the song “Attention”. That year Eurovision was canceled and this year Sarpsborg’s daughter is back with great motivation and enthusiasm.

7. Byron Williams Jr + JOWST: “Freaky for the weekend”

Artist Byron Williams is originally from Miami, Florida, but came to prominence to Norwegians when he appeared on ‘The Voice’ last year. Joakim With Steen, better known by the stage name JOWST, won the MGP in 2017 with the song “Grab The Moment”.
