Hydrovolt was founded in 2020 by Norwegian industrial giant Hydro and Swedish battery manufacturer Northvolt. The company develops processes and technologies that increase the proportion of materials recovered when recycling electric cars.
The company operates Europe’s largest used electric car battery recycling plant, located in Fredrikstad, and is headquartered in Oslo. Now they have set ambitious goals to expand into Europe and North America. Therefore, the company introduced Amanda Grand as the new Communications Officer and Government Contact.
– Hydrovolt has quickly become a major player in the sustainable recycling of batteries. We are proud to have Amanda join us on the exciting journey ahead. With highly relevant experience and a passionate commitment to sustainability, she is a key contributor in achieving Hydrovolt’s ambitious goals for the future, says Andreas FrydensvangCCO of Hydrovolt in a press release.
Gran has a background in political science and international relations from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. She has worked with several companies in the field of renewable energy over the past few years and most recently served as a senior advisor at the sustainability agency Sustainability, the sister company of the PR and communications agency First House.
Now she is looking forward to new challenges.
– Hydrovolt is a growing company in the green shift. Having the opportunity to work in policy, communications and sustainability in one of Norway’s most exciting and forward-looking start-ups is a very exciting challenge. I look forward to putting Hydrovolt’s solutions on the map, says Gran.
