Jens Kvernmo, Jegerpodden and Magnus Hestegrei in one show

On Saturday, Jegerpodden was supposed to perform a live show at Camp Villmark in Lillestrøm, but Camp Villmark, like everything else, was canceled.

The creative team at Jegerpodden has now organized a replacement, which they consider a treat for everyone interested in hunting and the outdoors. Namely live streaming with Jens Kvernmo, live from Canada, and music by Magnus Hestegrei.

Jens is ready

The live show airs on Saturday evening and Jegerpodden’s John Petter Mellingen says Jens Kvernmo is more than ready to entertain people again. The same goes for Jegerpodden and Hestegrei’s gang.

– We had a real brainstorm with our listeners when it became clear that our Camp Villmark live show, where over 300 tickets had been pre-sold, would have to be canceled. We had contact with Jens Kvernmo in Canada. He just got a good Internet connection, and then the idea of a live show came to him, Mellingen said in a statement.

Jens Kvernmo is still in Canada and NRK is very satisfied with the audience for the four television programs of the series “Jens in Canada”, which ended last week with more than 600,000 viewers during the last broadcast.

– The interest in TV programs and conference booking shows that Jens has reached an audience who greatly appreciates his programs, says PKOM’s Arve Løberg, director of Jens Kvernmo.

He says Jens now has over 50,000 followers on social media and many of them constantly send him comments.

Alternative Saturday entertainment

Jegerpodden starts broadcasting live at 9pm on Saturday evening, during prime time TV. Innherred also broadcasts the show.

– We think a lot of people want an alternative, and for everyone who loves hunting and the outdoors, we hope this is a good alternative, says John Petter Mellingen.

– We will have Jens on video from Canada. In addition, NRK has promised us some never-before-seen images of Canada that we can show. We also welcome Magnus Hestegrei, who has already composed a song for Jens and who has participated in some of his conferences.

Jegerpodden, which has managed to become the largest hunting podcast in the Nordic region, has broadcast several live shows across the country over the past year. These have been popular. But the current situation forces us, like everyone else, to consider other possibilities, such as digital broadcasting of live shows.

– We are doing this as a test. The program is free, but in order for all stakeholders to cover part of their costs, we invite those who wish to support the project to donate a few crowns. The money is shared between everyone who helps make the live streaming happen, explains John Petter Mellingen.
