Johannes Høsflot Klaebo and Pernille Dosvik
The world’s best skier chose to travel to the United States to receive medical treatment for an injury, but Johannes Høsflot Klæbo first had to travel to Canada to meet his girlfriend.
The season in the ski slope was barely over when our undisputed king of skiing left. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (26) traveled to Canada, where his girlfriend Pernille Døsvik (27) is currently an exchange student.
Here he celebrated Pernille’s birthday. The couple posted a photo on Instagram where Johannes wrote:
– 24 hours in Vancouver to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday.

Girlfriend Pernille Dosvik
The pair, both from Trondheim, have been lovers for six years. They last saw each other at the World Ski Championships in Slovenia’s Planica in February, where Johannes won three golds and two silvers.
Despite the fact that they hadn’t seen each other in a while, it was only one day in Canada that Johannes set his sights on the United States, specifically Park City. The city is located east of Salt Lake City in the western state of Utah.
– Johannes is in the United States for treatment with his physiotherapist Megan Stowe. The reason we traveled now is that Johannes wants to be as well prepared as possible at the start of the season, father Haakon Klæbo (53) tells Her og Nå.
Father and son enjoy a close relationship, and Haakon quit his business leadership position a few years ago to be close to his son’s skiing career.
Officially, Haakon is his son’s manager, but contributes in most areas as an important piece in the team around the best male skier in the world. He is also going to the United States.

Physiotherapist Megan Stowe
In the United States, Johannes met physiotherapist Megan Stowe, by whom he was previously treated.
It was after a hamstring injury last summer that Johannes came into contact with the ‘super physiotherapist’. Since then, she regularly treats the damage to the muscles on the back of the thigh that Johannes struggles with.
Several times over the fall and winter, the ski star paid out of pocket for Megan to come to Europe to treat him.
Before Easter, Johannes told several media that he was going to travel to Megan in the United States to receive new treatment. The reason is clear:
– I’m going to recover from my injury, said Johannes.
He is aware that his body needs to recover to cope with the hard work.
– I’m going to endure 100 hours of training a month when we get to June 1st, so that my body is in balance and we don’t stay there in July, and then I have another injury, he said declared to VG.
Johannes is doing everything he can to keep his body functioning optimally as the new season approaches, and it’s not out of the question that there will be more treatments the superb athlete is paying for out of his own funds. There is no doubt that he is doing everything to be in top shape for next winter!
