Mateusz Sowiński, 22, changes club colors. The current Korona Kielce player has signed a contract with Tannery Kraków. “I would like to be a figurehead for this club,” he admitted in an interview with the club’s media.
Sowiński signed a one-year contract with the Kraków team, with an option to extend it for another year. “The goal is certainly a good team result, but also an individual result. I would like to be a figurehead of the team and the club and help Tannery Kraków return to the second division – says the person himself .
The young striker is a pupil of Wisła Sandomierz, who came to Kielce during the 2014/2015 season (KKP Korona Kielce). However, from the 2017/2018 season, he plays in the yellow and red junior teams. He was part of the CLJ U-18 team that won the Polish championship. Following this success, Sowiński signed a three-year professional contract with Korona. Before that, he trained under the supervision of Gino Lettierieo and was registered with the Ekstraklasa.
However, he had to wait for his debut until July 14, 2020, when he entered the pitch in the match against Wisła Płock. The attacking midfielder’s next stop was Wigry Suwałki, where he spent 1.5 years.
In the autumn round of the 2022/2023 season, he represented second team Korona Kielce, while in the spring he played for Sokole Sieniawa. In previous matches at the third league level, Mateusz Sowiński played 22 games, in which he scored 6 goals.
