– This is where Harry and Meghan’s honeymoon takes place

The newly-wed couple would abandon the sun and beaches for the mountains and chalets.

Following the British prince’s May 19 wedding, speculation swirled about where Prince Harry and Meghan would spend their honeymoon.

The couple decided to postpone their honeymoon as they were due to attend Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebration.

Luxurious neighborhood

According to the celebrity site TMZ the trip now takes place in Canada for the newlyweds, more precisely in Alberta. The couple is reportedly staying at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, a luxury cabin park located in Jasper National Park.

Several major media, such as News.com, Cosmopolitan And Expressreports the same thing. The British royal house has not yet commented on the matter.

The neighborhood doesn’t look too bad either, according to their Instagram profile:

According to the website, Meghan and Harry will spend their honeymoon at the Royal Retreat, a 6,000-square-foot cottage.

Has hosted royalty in the past

The region is fast becoming a popular destination for royalty. King George VI and the Queen Mother visited there in 1939, while Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip stayed there as recently as 2005.
