The final main stage tournaments will take place in Pasay City in the Philippines, where the Polish national team will play, and in Anaheim in the United States. The sixteen teams were divided into two groups of eight teams.
group 5 (Anaheim, USA): Argentina – Bulgaria – Iran – France – Cuba – Germany – Serbia – USA.
group 6 (Pasay City, Philippines): Brazil – China – Netherlands – Japan – Canada – Poland – Slovenia – Italy.
Coach Nikola Grbic’s players in the first week of VNL took part in the Nagoya tournament. They beat France 3-1, Iran 3-2 and Bulgaria 3-2, and lost to Serbia 3-0 in the final game. In Rotterdam they won 3-2 against Germany, 3-2 against the Netherlands, lost to the United States 0-3 and ended the tournament with a 3-1 victory against Italy. The Poles are fifth in the standings with a record of 6 wins – 2 losses and 14 points scored. The leader is Japan – the only undefeated team in the sixteen national team stake.
The final Volleyball Nations League tournament will be played in Gdańsk. The Polish national team and the top seven teams from the first phase will perform at the Ergo Arena from July 19-23.
