Who will broadcast the World Cup in Qatar?
TV distribution comes later – but that’s it NRK and TV 2 who sends. VGTV will also have studio shows with guests and experts.
The World Championships in 2014 (Brazil) and 2018 (Russia), as well as the European Championships in 2016 (France) and 2020 (several countries) were distributed in a similar way. In 2018, for example, NRK had both the opening match and the final, while TV 2 showed both semi-finals.
The Qatar WC is essentially the latest championship that was part of the original ten-year deal between NRK and TV 2.
Despite the fact that the championship is not in summer, it will also be possible to watch the matches big screen in Kontraskjæret and Youngstorget in Oslo. The big screens will be inside big tents, says the organizer on his website.
TV 2 and NRK have already had studio broadcasts from Kontraskjæret.
