Russian police have found the body of 51-year-old Andrei Michkov. This is the father of the hockey player of Sochi and the national team – Matvey.

The search for Andrei Michkov has been suspended. He was found dead in a pond in one of Sochi’s housing estates. For now, it is not known what caused his death, the Russian portal sports.ru reported on Tuesday, April 4.

The father of Matvei Michkov, a player of the HK Sochi team and the Russian national hockey team, was 51 years old.

The man (wearing a navy jacket, black trousers and a knitted hat) left the house on Sunday (April 2) and since then all contact with him has ceased.

“HK Sochi expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Andrei Michkov. The club will provide the player’s family with necessary assistance,” KHL team activists wrote in a statement posted on social networks. social.

This season, Michkov, 18, played 27 games in the KHL, during which he scored 20 points (9+11) in the Canadian standings. Sochi hockey players finished last in the Western Conference table and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
