ONE Championship: the “sad” Rodtang postpones his seminar tour in Canada after the defeat of Superlek

“Hello Canada fans, I have injured my wrist and with great regret I have to postpone my Canada seminar tour again,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“We are very excited to come to Canada and meet our fans and show you all my way of training! See you in November for the most interactive training experience with The Iron Man.

The 26-year-old Thai hasn’t said much since his defeat, his first in kickboxing or Muay Thai since a 2018 decision loss to Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan outside of the ONE Championship promotional banner.

“Sorry everyone, I couldn’t win,” he said on social media. “Finally, our fight ended for good. I am sad but I will continue to fight.

“Thank you to everyone who was there for me, win or lose. Thank you,” he added in another Facebook post.

“I am very disappointed and sad. Believe me, the next day I will definitely come back strong as before. Stay with me and with Muay Thai together, all fans.

Rodtang cut a forlorn figure immediately after the fight, collapsing on the ring steps after going through the ropes. He did not speak to the media backstage and appeared dejected at the fighter’s hotel.

“Whether you lose or win, I will always support you. I will be by your side in every role. Keep fighting,” wrote his wife and fellow fighter Aida Looksaikongdin in her own Instagram post.
