Volleyball players of the Polish U-21 national team without any major problems achieved promotion to the second round of the World Championships, which this year will be hosted by Bahrain. Mateusz Grabda’s players will now play in Group E. Our players’ rivals will be Iranians, Thais and Bulgarians. The competition will begin on Tuesday (July 11).

The Poles qualified for the top eight of the World Cup

Volleyball players from Poland successfully started the fight at this year’s U21 World Championships. Grabda players in the first round went to group C With Canada, India And Bulgaria. The first two rivals were beaten by the Poles. However, the last of these teams turned out to be better than our players. Bulgaria won the game against the white and red team 3:2 (25:23, 26:28, 25:17, 22:25, 15:11).

There will be a rematch later this week. The Poles qualified for the second round after taking second place in their collection. Thanks to this, our volleyball players will now play three matches as part of the fight group E. We’ll see you there Bulgaria. Our young players also face clashes with Iran And Thailand.

The first game of the Poles will be played on Tuesday July 11. Then our players will face Iran. Secondly, the riders of Grabda will face Bulgaria (Wednesday July 12), and their horses will face Thailand (Wednesday July 13). Matches with the participation of the Poles will start at 13:00.

U21 World Championship Composition of the EH group:

Battle for places 1 to 8:

Group E: Poland, Iran, Thailand, Bulgaria

Group F: Brazil, Belgium, Argentina, Italy

Battle for places 9-16:

Group G: Canada, Tunisia, Bahrain, India

Group H: Egypt, USA, Czech Republic, Mexico

The top two teams from Groups E and F will advance to the semi-finals. The third and fourth seeded teams will play for places 5-8. The remaining teams that did not finish the first round of the World Cup in the top eight will play in sets G and H. They will fight each other for places 9-16.

It should be added that the Polish U-21 national team in the past won the world championship three times. It took place in the years: 1997, 2003 and 2017. In the previous tournament, which was played in 2021, the white and red team took third place. At the end of the tournament, they beat Argentina (3:0).
