Jessica Pegula this time proved to be better than Iga Świątek. The American won in three sets and qualified for the final of the Montreal tournament. After the meeting, she told about the Polish supporters who were present in the stands.

Pegula pointed out that she enjoys performing in Montreal. She was born in Buffalo, just across the Canada-US border. “I feel that you encourage me, even though I am American,” she concluded.
