Soccer. An exotic transfer to the third division. From Canada to Solec Kujawski

An exotic transfer to the third division (group II). In the spring we will see a 20-year-old Canadian midfielder Andrew Szapowalów in the colors of Unia Drobex Solec Kujawski, who are fighting for relegation.

The new midfielder of the third team in the league is… a Canadian midfielder, Andrew Szapowalow. The 20-year-old is from the Canadian town of Oakville. Its roots are more complicated. My mother is Jamaican and my father is Polish of Ukrainian origin. This will be his first professional adventure outside of the previously mentioned Canada.

It turns out the midfielder had already been tested by the EU. He stayed at Solec Kujawski for two weeks in November. He made a positive impression on the club officials, who therefore decided to give him a chance in the second part of the season. And it will be very difficult for the third division player.

After the autumn part of the season, Unia is in 16th place in the rankings. Solec Kujawski’s club has 10 points to its credit. There are at least six players missing in a safe position (Stol Gniewino, who is just in the relegation zone, has 15).

The spring phase of the third league begins on the weekend of March 2-3. Unia will first face Błękitni Stargard in their own stadium.
