Sophie Elise criticizes the management of NRK in a new podcast – NRK Culture and entertainment

-SThe system at the top has not dealt with this issue as methodically as it could. And above all, they didn’t see the people who were clients there, who were there and did a job.

Sofie Steen says it Isachsen on the direction of NRK in his new podcast, which was released on Thursday morning.

In the first episode entitled “The Truth”, Isachsen and Williams recount, among other things, the NRK collaboration. This is the first podcast the friends have created outside of a media company.

If we had continued to be there, I think there would have been an eternal chatter about the fact that we don’t really belong there, says Isachsen.

On Instagram, Isachsen wrote that she was finally going to tell it all and they were back.

NRK has been in contact with broadcast manager Vibeke Fürst Haugen, but does not wish to comment. The Marienlyst division’s acting manager at NRK, Charlo Halvorsen, says they haven’t heard the podcast.

– We just wish Sofie and Fetisha good luck with the new podcast, says Halvorsen.

Bed Podcast

Two weeks ago, the collaboration between Sophie Elise, Fetisha and NRK ended. NRK concluded that the business ties to both profiles were too extensive to combine with ongoing podcast production for NRK.

In the Thursday morning episode, they answer questions they received from listeners. They are asked questions about, among other things, the debate, what they gained at NRK and what really happened when there was a break with the public broadcaster.

The reason we don’t specifically say those numbers is that if we say what we earn, we say what all the other podcasters earn out there, and we don’t want to do that, says Isachsen.

She clarifies that she thinks people thought they earned a lot more than they had.

It’s a good salary, but not compared to what we have the opportunity to earn in the first place. I wish I had double that four-week dryer ride we went through, Williams says.

The duo still plays from Isachsen’s room. Episodes air once a week and have a recommended age limit of 18.

The new podcast will likely be similar to the previous one and has been tagged culture, personal stories, and comedy.

-Mangel hats and cook

In the episode, they also answer why they didn’t appear on the Debate and what they think of the show.

Isachsen says she didn’t participate in the debate because she didn’t understand what she was supposed to do there.

There were just a lot of hats and cooks, she says and continues:

It would have been so stupid. I didn’t know what to defend. And what do we think of the debate? It was horrible.

Williams, for her part, says she didn’t run because she didn’t dare and because she thinks she had nothing to do with it.

They open the debate with: “Assemble! I like to poop when I’m drunk”. It just couldn’t get any worse, says Williams.

According to Isachsen, she spoke with Broadcasting Director Vibeke Fürst Haugen the day before the debate.

She says she loves the content we create. She is super proud to have it on NRK. She realizes that there is a target group different from her, obviously. But she digs it and she was supposed to support it in the debate and that’s why I was a little surprised it didn’t happen, says Isachsen.

Isachsen says that although she was surprised by what happened during the debate, she does not see NRK as a big ugly wolf.

I just feel like it’s such a massive organization that it’s getting so hard to manage.

After all, we only did our job. We were signed to create content that would reach a target group whose goal was to attract more listeners to their app. It happened, says Isachsen.

Has broken cooperation with NRK

Just two weeks ago, the collaboration between Sophie Elise and NRK ended. This happened after Sophie Elise posted a photo on Instagram which caused a big reaction.

– As a public broadcaster, we could not live with the agreements as they were, said Vibeke Fürst Haugen, Head of Broadcasting at NRK, in a press release.

NRK’s conclusion was that the business ties with Sophie Elise and Fetisha Williams are too extensive to combine with the ongoing podcast production for NRK.

Isachsen wrote this in a press release:

– NRK wanted the current agreement to be amended in a way that imposes strong restrictions on our other business activities. I have no desire or possibility to close the rest of my business in order to save NRK’s reputation, and so we feel compelled to end the collaboration.

On Instagram, Isachsen said working with the NRK podcast “Sophie og Fetisha” added flavor.

– We are proud of the podcast we have created with wonderful colleagues from NRK Entertainment and are grateful for everything they have taught us. And more podcasts there will be – but on a different platform.

Podcast co-host Fetisha Williams had this to say:

– We refused other more lucrative offers to cooperate with NRK, and we do not regret it. It was instructive and evolutionary to work with such a large and professional organization, and we were ready to develop the concept further.
