The latest ATP ranking before the 2023 Wimbledon Grand Slam has been released and Hubert Hurkacz remains among the top 20 tennis players in the world. Significant promotions were made by Maks Kaśnikowski and Martyn Pawelski.

During the last week before Wimbledon 2023, Hubert Hurkacz did not participate in any main series event. The 26-year-old from Wrocław only appeared in the Stoke Park show, for which he obviously received no ranking points. In the last classification, it remained the 18th rocket in the world.

The second Pole, Kamil Majchrzak, was disqualified until December 29, 2023, because a banned substance was detected in his body (more here). In the latest ATP ranking, the native of Piotrków fell to the 220th position. Daniel Michalski is in 270th place. Kacper Żuk slipped to 281st place.

Representatives of talented Polish youth received excellent information. Maks Kaśnikowski reached the quarter-finals of the challenger in Modena and thanks to this made his Top 300 debut. The 19-year-old from Warsaw is currently the 290th tennis player in the world. Martyn Pawelski, meanwhile, received points for winning the ITF World Tennis Tour with a $25,000 prize pool in Netanya. Thanks to this, the 18-year-old from Gliwice broke the barrier of the Top 500 and was promoted to the 469th position. Filip Peliwo moved up to 358th, which Pawelski beat in the final of the Israeli tournament (more here).

Carlos Alcaraz remains at the top of the ATP rankings, just 80 points clear of second-placed Novak Djokovic. The Spaniard and the Serbian will fight for the leader’s seat at Wimbledon 2023. Daniil Medvedev, currently ranked on the lowest step of the podium, has a shadow of a chance for the first position. The Russian will return to the throne if he wins the London tournament, with Alcaraz going down before the fourth round and Djokovic before the quarter-finals.

There was only one castling in the Top 20. American Tommy Paul returned to a career-high 15th place by reaching the ATP 250 final in Eastbourne. The champion of this competition, the Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, consolidated his position in 19th position (more here). Christopher Eubanks improved his personal best. The American sensationally won the ATP 250 event in Mallorca and moved up to 43rd place (more here).

The next ATP Rankings will not be released until after Wimbledon 2023 ends on Monday July 17.
