Bodø artist receives largest music grant in northern Norway
Kristine Hoff (30), also known by the stage name MAUD, was named this year’s winner of Arctic Talent, the largest music scholarship in northern Norway, writes Arctic Talent in a press release.
The NOK 400,000 scholarship is awarded by Vår Energi in collaboration with the Varanger Festival.
– It is a huge recognition to be named Arctic Talent this year. I am incredibly grateful and honored that the jury has decided that I should receive this scholarship this year, says Bodøværingen.
With the funds now allocated to it, MAUD will continue to invest internationally:
– Among other things, I want to use it to launch my next album, as well as to finance a planned tour in Europe and Norway. The scholarship goes a long way to ensuring that I can continue to invest in an international career, in addition to giving me space and time to create new music.
