The French Caroline Garcia is the highest ranked participant of the WTA 250 tournament in Monterrey. Among the seeded tennis players are two Czech players, Marie Bouzkova and Katerina Siniakova.

In the previous two seasons in Monterrey, Leylah Fernandez triumphed. This time, the Canadians will not be at the start. The biggest star of the event in Mexico will be Caroline Garcia. In the first round, the French will face the Slovenian Kaja Juvan.

There are two Czech tennis players in the eight-seeded group. Marie Bouzkova (n°2), finalist of the 2020 tournament, will play with the Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. Katerina Siniakova (#6) will face a competitor from qualifying.
