Worrying information has been provided by representatives of the Polish Volleyball Association (PZPS). It turns out that there was a fire in the hotel where the men’s team is currently staying. Evacuation was necessary.

“At 8:20 a.m., the fire alarm went off. The evacuation went well and the services dealt with the fire which broke out in the Spa area on the 2nd floor of our hotel. After two hours, we returned to the rooms safe and sound,” PZPS reported. on Twitter.

Thus, the Poles experienced moments of terror. The fire alarm must have made a lot of noise. Fortunately, no one was injured and the services quickly brought the fire under control.

The PZPS Twitter account, in addition to the message regarding the fire alarm, also posted a recording. It shows eg. personnel gathered in front of the hotel and fire trucks.

Recall that the Polish national team is in Pasay (Philippines), where it will play the last tournament of the main phase of the League of Nations.

The first game of the Whites and Reds in the Philippines was scheduled for July 5 (Wednesday). On this day, Poland will play against Slovenia (at 9:00 a.m.). Two days later, the rival of the Poles will be Brazil (at 5:00).

The clash of the Poles with Canada is scheduled for July 8 (at 9:00 a.m.). On July 9, the Biało-Czerwoni will play against Japan. This will be our team’s last game in Pasay. It will start at 1:00 p.m.
