Thursday, in the quarter-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai, Hubert Hurkacz faced Novak Djokovic. The Pole didn’t have it easy, but he had a few successful plays, which the Serb applauded.
In the end, however, the current leader of the standings turned out to be better and won the match 6:3, 7:5. After the match, however, Djokovic did not spare his compliments to his young colleague.
– It was a very demanding match, as always against Hubert. He is definitely one of the best players on the circuit,” Novak Djokovic said as quoted by official ATP media.
One of the best tennis players in history complimented not only the game, but also the character of the tennis player from Wrocław.
– She has a fantastic personality. He is nice and has great relationships with everyone. He is always respectful of others. I wish him the best for the rest of the season.”
