Former MDG summit steps down from politics

Iversen says in Harstad that the living situation is not compatible with political work, whether at county or local level.

– I have a life situation that is not compatible with political work at the departmental level, in the next period. The same goes for local politics. So I’m taking a break and I’m going to focus on my family and my daily life here in Harstad, she says.

Iversen let it be known in February that she would step down as vice president of MDG nationally before the summer. Over the weekend it became known that she had not made herself available for the MDG Troms and Finnmark nominating committee. In recent years, she has held positions in the county council and in the municipality of Harstad. She was also a candidate for the legislative elections in the last elections.
