Israel attacks Syria. Russia warns of serious consequences.

Israel did not give weapons to Ukraine. But despite the country’s restraint in the war in Ukraine, Russia is now drawing heavy criticism. And a warning.

The short version

The extent of the suffering resulting from Hamas attacks against Israeli civilians is beginning to be known. The destruction following Israel’s revenge attack on the Palestinian Gaza Strip is rapidly growing.

But on Thursday, Israeli missiles also hit two airports near the cities of Damascus and Aleppo in Syria. Israel has not commented on these attacks. But this is not the first time that Israel has bombed Syria, an ally of Iran, its main rival.
