Warns Easee report in May – TV 2

Notifies Easee report in May

The Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) announces that it will publish a report on Easee charging boxes for electric cars in May.

Uncertainty arose around charging stations after Sweden’s Elsäkerhetsverket imposed a sales ban.

– Nkom has started reviewing the documentation available from the Swedish Electricity Authority, writes Nkom.

John-Eivind Velure, who is department manager at Nkom, adds:

– In the same vein, we also asked Easee for any other documentation relevant to the case. There are many case documents, and it will take some time to go through them all, but we hope to have an assessment in May.

Nkom points out that it may, however, take a little longer depending on what will be revealed in the review of the case.

– We understand that it is desirable for our review to proceed quickly, but we can never let this come at the expense of compliance and quality, says Velure.

Nkom will also test five or six other charging boxes in Norway.

– Due to the scope and complexity of the investigation itself, the investigation itself can be completed no earlier than August, with further processing of individual cases, Velure explains. (HAVE)
